Spice Cake is part of a community. We’ve been nurtured , supported and sustained by Archie Edwares Blues Heritage Foundation. It started back in the 90’s when Mike Baytop mentored Miles in the piedmont style and into the not too recent past when Yaya became a regular at the weekly jams. we returned from The international blues challenge in Memphis not champions but winners just the same. They had a party for us with This cake.

We Can’t thank this organization enough.

We traveled to Fort Worth Texas for Fort Worth African American Music festival. We were surrounded by like minded musicians and immersed in great music.

We’re at Breakfast in Memphis. The competiton was over for us but we’re still all smiles.
